Now to seal the deal!
Depending on how you use your countertops, they can be finished in one one of two ways:
-
Urethane No Maintenance sealer with or without a stain underneath. This is a long term sealer and hold up well to regular use but not recommended to be used as a cutting board.
-
Food-safe oil sealer. This option will need more frequent application.
-
Or we leave the wood raw - this way you can finish and customize the counters in your own way!
Each option has their pros and cons but it really comes down to how you use your kitchen and the maintenance plan you want.
